KIOS® has been evaluated at five distinct study sites including our most recent study at a walk-in clinic with a Medicaid eligible population in Paducah, KY.
The Cecil Clinic offers walk-in care to a wide range of patients, many of whom are Medicaid eligible. Twelve bipolar patients from the Cecil Clinic completed a 3-month study of KIOS.

The downloadable report provides timely, specific, and valuable information that I can use to better treat a person suffering from bipolar disorder. But…what I like most is the visible improvement that I see when a patient returns to my clinic after he/she has been using KIOS.
KIOS was tested in a population of bipolar patients on probation for misdemeanors from the Bexar County Mental Health Court.
Over the course of the 12 week study, patients using KIOS experienced a statistically significant (p<0.001)…
REDUCTION IN OVERALL BIPOLAR SYMPTOMS
PARTICIPANTS ASKED AND CONTINUED TO USE KIOS VOLUNTARILY AFTER COMPLETING THE TRIAL WITHOUT INCENTIVES
KIOS was tested in a one-year study at University of Texas Health Science Center – San Antonio under the direction of Charles L. Bowden, MD, The University of Cincinnati Lindner Center of Hope under the direction of Susan L. McElroy, MD, and the University of Louisville under the direction of Rif S. Al-Mallakh, MD.
In this multi-site study, funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, patients using KIOS experienced a statistically significant reduction in bipolar symptoms over the first sixteen weeks of the study that persisted until the end of the year long trial.
OF THE PATIENTS USING KIOS COMPLETED THE STUDY, DEMONSTRATING LONG-TERM COMPLIANCE AND USABILITY.
